The dual-language immersion program is becoming one of the programs schools want parents to sign up for. AbroadEd could establish that the program is designed to bridge the gap between native speakers of two languages. For instance, it can bridge the gap between native Spanish speakers and native English speakers.
The program is designed for kids and families can enroll their children in the program to benefit from the immersion program.
According to AbroadEd, the dual-language program is an opportunity for kids to be fluent in two languages.
The first expression of the program will take off next fall at Bakersville Elementary School in Manchester, New Hampshire, and families are encouraged to sign up to participate.
Benefits of the immersion program
Communal growth and integration are the important benefits of this immersion program.
In the words of Nicole Doherty, execute director of teaching and learning:
“Spanish speakers are the second-largest group in our district, and research has shown that a two-way immersion program can facilitate effectiveness for dual language. For instance, about sixteen hundred students in the district identify Spanish as their primary spoken language at home.”
AbroadEd says being bilingual from a very young age helps to increase cognitive abilities.
In the words of Wendy Perron, the district’s executive director of English learners instruction and equity:
“Kids who have bilingual brains exhibit benefits including easier time of understanding math concepts, switching between tasks, applying logic, focusing, remembering, making decisions and learning other languages.”
Exposing kids to this dual-language immersion program will provide them with a lot of cognitive benefits.
